What RCS is actually good at
Rich Promotional Messaging
Carousels, rich cards, and high-resolution images replace the plain text and shortened links of SMS. Suggested replies and suggested actions sit right below the message, so the next step is a tap, not a copy-paste.
Weekend Bundle — 3 looks, one card.
Verified Branded Sender
Your business name, logo, and a verification badge appear on every message — not a ten-digit number the recipient has to guess about. It's a visible trust signal that plain SMS and unverified numbers don't have.

Interactive Actions
Suggested replies and suggested actions — call, view a location, open a link — sit directly beneath the message. A customer can act without leaving the conversation or typing a response.
We're here to help with your booking.
Transactional & Alerts
Order updates and appointment reminders arrive as rich cards instead of plain text — a status graphic, a map preview, or a reschedule action, in the same message the customer already expects.

Where RCS reaches — and what happens where it doesn't
RCS delivery depends on both the recipient's carrier and device. On Android, messages reach the default Google Messages app wherever a carrier has enabled RCS Business Messaging. Apple added RCS support starting with iOS 18, but carrier enablement and regional rollout are still expanding — coverage on iOS isn't yet universal.
RCS and SMS are separate channels on Accelbiz. If a recipient's device or carrier doesn't support RCS, that message isn't automatically resent over SMS — you choose whether to send to both channels for a given audience.
Reaches recipients wherever their carrier has enabled RCS Business Messaging.
Reaches recipients where Apple's rollout and the carrier both support RCS. Still expanding.
Devices and carriers outside current RCS coverage don't receive the message through this channel.
A verified sender, not just a phone number
Before you can send rich messages, your business profile goes through a verification process — name, logo, and category are reviewed and attached to a badge the recipient sees on every message.
That badge is the difference between a message that looks like it came from your business and one that looks like it came from an unknown number — a meaningful signal against phishing and spam impersonation.

What you can see, message by message
Opt-in first, verified always
Recipients need to have opted in before you send rich business messages, and every sender profile is reviewed against Google's RCS Business Messaging policies and the enabling carrier's own guidelines before it goes live.
